My Artistic Background

I am a Lebanese colorist and editor based in Berlin, Germany.

Since 2019, I have been color grading films: award-winning shorts, features, and documentaries, namely “Die Kunst, Viele zu Bleiben”, and “Independence”, by Felix Christian Meyer; “Truth or Dare”, by Maja Classen, “Nécrose” by François Yazbeck, “Die Toten Vögel Sind Oben” by Sönje Storm, and many more.

As a freelancer, I color grade on cinema screens in professional grading suites, including Planemo UG, DFFB, Studio Mitte (Babelsberg) and Aalto Studios (Helsinki).
I also have my own grading setup, featuring a Mac Studio M4 Max, an EIZO CG277 reference monitor, and a DaVinci Micro Panel.
I work primarily with DaVinci Resolve Studio for color grading and editing, and also have a Creative Cloud subscription, including Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, and other Adobe applications.

Alongside film work, I teach introductory color grading classes several times a year at FilmArche and Art-On-The-Run.

My approach to color grading is guided by the story and the image. Beyond aesthetics, color creates atmosphere, shapes emotion, and defines the world of a film. My work is about finding the visual language that best serves each story, while working closely with my clients throughout the process.

I completed my Master’s in Directing at Met Film School Berlin with Merit, where I wrote and directed “Anacrouse”, my short film produced in Berlin.

Before that, I studied Cinema and Audiovisuals at IESAV, Saint-Joseph University of Beirut. There, I wrote and directed my graduation film, Chronique de la Vacuité (Void Chronicle), which went on to win First Prize at the 26th edition of the European Film Festival in Lebanon.
