My Artistic Background

I am a Lebanese colorist, editor, and film director based in Berlin, Germany.Since 2018, I have been color grading films: award-winning shorts, features, and documentaries, namely “Die Kunst, Viele zu Bleiben”, and “Independence”, by Felix Christian Meyer; “Truth or Dare”, by Maja Classen, “Nécrose” by François Yazbeck, “Die Toten Vögel Sind Oben” by Sönje Storm, and many more. In my color grading work, visual language is prioritized. Colors are not only an esthetic choice but also a crucial tool in storytelling. As a director myself, I understand the importance of consistency between the film’s look and the director’s intentions when making creative decisions.

In October 2021, I completed my Master’s in Directing at Met Film School Berlin with Merit. During that year, I wrote and directed “Anacrouse”, my short film produced in Berlin.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in cinema and audiovisuals at IESAV, Saint-Joseph University of Beirut.
I had the opportunity to explore my various skills and attend multiple film shooting sets as an Actress, first AD, Editor, and Director of Photography.

As a director, I am interested in expressing my vision of what we see as Reality: a chaotic, controversial, absurd, and violent one.
I am mostly inspired by directors like Michael Haneke, Ingmar Bergman, Krzysztof Kieślowski, and Raymond Depardon.

I established my path by winning first prize at the 26th edition of the European Film Festival in Lebanon for my first short film Chronique de la Vacuité (Void Chronicle), my BA graduation film.
